Millions of pregnant women around the world don't have trained medical care during delivery. often it's because they live too far from the nearest health center. In cares, complications during childbirth can be deadly. To address this problem, Ishara Nepal constructs "birth waiting homes" near health clinics, where pregnant women and their families can stay comfortably in the day before delivery, thus ensuring they're close to trained medical staff when they go in to labor.
